This Privacy Policy explains how Techton (“we”, “us”), operator of techton.cloud, handles information in connection with our Instagram feed widget service (the “Service”). The Service lets a business display its own Instagram profile and recent posts on its own website.
This policy specifically covers Platform Data — information we receive from Meta / Instagram through the Instagram API when a business authorizes our app.
When a business connects its Instagram professional (Business or Creator)
account using Instagram Business Login, we access, via the
instagram_business_basic permission:
We only access accounts that have explicitly authorized our app, and only the data listed above. We do not request or access direct messages, comments, insights beyond the fields above, or any account you have not connected.
The widget displayed on a connected business's website shows that business's own public posts. It does not set tracking cookies, fingerprint visitors, or collect personal information from people who simply view the widget.
We use Platform Data for a single purpose: to render the connected account's own profile and recent posts in the widget embedded on that account owner's website. We use the access token solely to fetch that content from Instagram and to keep the connection alive by periodically refreshing the token. We do not sell, rent, or use Platform Data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to displaying your content on your site.
We do not sell or share Platform Data with third parties for their own use. We rely on Cloudflare as our infrastructure provider to run the Service and store data. By design, the posts shown in the widget are the account's own public content, displayed on the account owner's website.
You are in control of the connection at all times:
On revocation or request, we remove the stored access token and cached feed data for that account. Cached copies expire automatically within the retention window described above.
We retain an account's token and cached content only while the integration is active. Once you revoke access or request deletion, the token and cached data are removed and the daily refresh stops.
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Our infrastructure provider operates globally, so data may be processed in data centers outside your country, always protected by the safeguards described in this policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
